EXCHANGE & SHARE. From Circular Monday to Sustainable Consumption
Thursday, November 27, the University of Macerata offers a double initiative dedicated to responsible consumption, on the occasion of Circular Monday and the European Week for Waste Reduction.
The organization was coordinated by students Benedetta Maurizi and Maria Chiara Lentinio, representatives of the Student Community in the Rete delle Università per lo Sviluppo sostenibile (RUS), who collaborated with the University and partners IASS - Associazione Italiana Scienza per la Sostenibilità, 2hands and COSMARI to create a rich and participatory program.
THE TALK
The day opens at 5:00 PM in the Aula Magna of the Loggia del Grano (via Don Minzoni 22A) with a talk dedicated to consumption habits, UniMc research on the circular economy, and best practices for waste reduction. Professors, researchers, and local organizations involved in reuse and sustainable fashion will take part.
THE SWAP PARTY
From 6:00 PM, the Swap Party takes place under the loggia – a free exchange of clothes, accessories, and small items in excellent condition. Participants just need to follow a few simple rules; any items not exchanged will be donated to the Nuovi Amici Association of Macerata. The initiative is supported by 2hands Macerata.
An event open to everyone, promoting more attentive, creative, and environmentally respectful consumption.
